We’re Back!! And We’re Ready For Laughs (and Love! DUH.)
Oh, how we’ve missed you! But don’t worry. The cast and crew of #DateMe: An OkCupid Experiment spent the winter days of January rehearsing so we could bring you Love and Laughter just in time for Valentine’s Day.
Below you’ll meet the cast, our producer, and receive a VERY IMPORTANT acting lesson from our Director that will change your lives forever.
So, let’s get started…
Meet The NEW Cast!
That’s right. We’ve got a lot of new talent on our crew. And our rehearsal process was a blast!
We’ll feature everyone in more depth soon. But for now, meet our players!
Meet Our Creative Producer!
That stylish lady below is Diane Alexander! Diane is the heart behind #DateMe and has really pushed the show to where it is today.
(We’re entering our THIRD year! Can you believe it?!?)
Among being a wickedly talented Creative entity, Diane also lavishes us with baked goods on a regular basis — Cupcakes, cookies, you name it. She knows we need the sugar to give us energy for this fast paced show!
On Opening Night Diane Was Responsible For This:
Now That You’ve Met Us, Let’s Get Weird.
I mean, we’re comedic actors. So we’re going to have some fun backstage.
New cast member Carisa Barecca is always stylish.
And during rehearsal she was kind enough to do ALL of our makeup. (Okay, it’s an app). But don’t we look GOOD?!?!
This is Greg’s understudy, Jon. He’s been performing for the first several weeks of the show and we LOVE him!
Apologies we don’t have a normal pic. So you just get the makeup one… I guess this is how he’ll be remembered forever and ever. Sorry, Jon!
Who Do You Think Looks The Best?
I mean we ALL look pretty awesome. But Greg and Sam look like completely different people. I want to write a show based on just those characters.
Thanks for the pics, Carisa!
The Most Important Advice Of Your Life
We take comedy Seriously. VERY seriously. Sometimes during backstage notes our director, Frank Caeti’s alter ego comes out…
Meet Dominic Choboni!
Dominic Choboni is a very serious director. Sometimes, as actors, we have trouble finding just the right read or inflection for our lines.
Dominic Choboni has a way with words that always helps us find our way.
Good directors know to never give an actor a line read, but great directors know that comedy has a rhythm. Nothing wrong with a rhythm read. Here he is working his MAGIC.
And here is Dominic giving us advice on how the energy of the audience can fluctuate from night to night.
Yes, we know he’s quiet. That’s his way of drawing you in… BRILLIANT!
Now You’ve Met Us. Will You Date Us?
We hope to see you at the show!
And we’ll be here every week with:
- Undateable characters
- Backstage ridiculousness
- And our weekly Audience Feature.
And Be Sure To Follow Us On Social Media:
Who knows. YOU might be featured!!!
Happy Valentine’s Day! We LOVE You!
